Talk Radio 702- from 1 to 5 June 2010
Working at Talk Radio 702, in the Eyewitness Newsroom, from 1 to 5 July was a great experience which gave me practical skills and a better understanding of radio journalism. I took part in diary meetings and shadowed journalists reporting on topics from the Education Minister’s budget to crime reports. I also had the opportunity of participating in the production of light-hearted stories which were being aired in preparation for the Soccer World Cup.

I was part of the media team at the Highway Africa Conference and World Journalism Education Congress which took place in Grahamstown from 5 to 7 July. Although I was involved in administration tasks, I also worked on producing packages for the “Democracy Is…” exhibition.
